Creating Hero Videos with Gemini on Mobile

Create stunning animated hero videos for your website using just your phone. This quick workflow uses Gemini to generate and animate images, Working Copy to push to your repo, and Claude Code to integrate the video into your site.

How do I make Hero section videos with Gemini using just my phone?

1. Open the Gemini app, make an image, and copy it

2. Paste it into a new Gemini prompt, click on the video option, and say “animate this video”

3. Save the video (goes to Photos). Then in Photos, share it and “Save to Files”

4. Open the Working Copy app, clone the repo, go into /public, click the plus icon to “Import from Files”. Commit the file and push to main

5. Open the Claude Code iOS app, and tell it to add that video as the hero image

6. Optimize the video so it autoplays on both mobile and full screen (phone browsers usually disable autoplay). Use Cloudflare CDN to host and compress the video. Consider uploading the initial screenshot as a thumbnail.
